Celebrating our ability to make choices in our lives!

We are a society fascinated by success. We are especially intrigued by individuals successfully running their own businesses. Our curiosity has us asking questions such as;

  • Why did they choose to do what they do?
  • How did they go about doing it?
  • What challenges have they faced?
  • Is it all worth it?

These questions and more will be answered each week, when host Debra Stamp personally introduces remarkable ‘everyday Americans’ who work hard, take risks, dream and make things happen. Folks from all walks of life, at all stages of life will share their stories in relaxed, engaging, revealing conversations.

At some time or another, most Americans think about being their own boss, doing what they enjoy for a living. Listeners will benefit from the experiences, insight, suggestions, even mistakes the interviews reveal. Some of the individuals profiled may have achieved extraordinary prosperity but many more are happy and fulfilled doing things totally within the reach of most Americans, prompting listeners to say, “Hey, I could do that!”

From artist to bush pilot, mortician to auto mechanic, there is an inexhaustible supply of material. It’s about time we gave a voice to the people that make America work! AMERICA AT WORK: engaging, encouraging and educating people about business and life.

Deb & Her Studio

I talk for a living.

As a broadcast professional, my work has put me in front of television cameras and microphones around the world. I’ve hosted shows, interviewed CEO’s and celebrities of various shapes and sizes, voiced countless commercials and video presentations, and talked to audiences large and small.

I listen well too.

I could listen all day long to small business owners, entrepreneurs and people doing what they love for a living. America At Work gives me the opportunity to do just that. Relaxed, candid conversations result in genuine, revealing dialogue where you get to know the real people behind the businesses. Personally… I think they are some of the neatest folks around!

The process:

Interviews are conducted either by phone, through my professional audio studio or - when the opportunity presents itself - in person, using a portable recording set up. Then it’s time to dissect and rebuild.

Sound bites are selected and wrapped with narration to create an easy-to-listen-to A@W feature…. short and sweet!

I’ll share more information about my studio gear and set up soon.
